What is Laser Resurfacing
Sagging skin starts to become a common concern after the age of 30. As is a decline in collagen and elastin levels. Unfortunately, these are common effects of the natural ageing process that can’t be avoided. They can, however, be reversed with the right treatments.
Fractional laser resurfacing treatments deliver microbeams of light into the deeper layers of the skin. By creating deep, narrow columns within the underlying tissue, the skin’s natural healing response is activated.
The treatment is ideal for sagging skin on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands. It’s also ideal for lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and scarring. The result is healthier tissue that glows and a tighter, smoother appearance. Fractional laser treatments produce long-lasting results and no downtime is necessary. A series of treatments is recommended to achieve the best outcome.
Laser Resurfacing with LaseMD
At Skin Confidence Clinic, we use LaseMD to help patients tighten and lift the skin from the inside out. We also help patients get rid of dark patches, scarring and fine lines.
During your laser resurfacing consultation, we will review your medical history, get a better idea of your specific concerns and evaluate your skin.
This will give us what we need to create a personalised treatment plan.
LaseMD uses fractional non-ablative laser technology to create micro-channels, which helps increase the production of collagen and elastin. It’s these proteins that help strengthen and tighten the skin.

About the treatment
Treatments can be fully customised because the system works with three different levels.
Level I is ideal for treating scarring and pigmentation. It can also be used to improve the tone and texture of the skin.
Level II is best for reducing the effects of mild to moderate sun damage.
Level III is ideal for skin sagging, fine lines and severe sun damage. It also causes the skin to flake lightly for several days after treatment.
Treatments are completely comfortable and last about 20 to 30 minutes. You can expect the skin to look slightly red and swollen after treatment. Most patients will need at least three LaseMD sessions to achieve their desired outcome.
It is possible to combine LaseMD with other treatments that will help you reach your goals.
Results vary between patients but in most instances, a visible difference is noticeable after just one session. Skin tone and texture will continue to improve over the course of several weeks. It’s important to follow a quality skincare regime at home to maintain your results. Protecting your skin from the sun is also essential.
Most patients choose to schedule a touch-up session once a year following their initial laser resurfacing treatment plan to maintain results
