Why choose Fotona TightSculpting
Collagen and elastin are two of the most abundant proteins in our body and keep our skin looking soft, plump and youthful. However, as we age, the production of these proteins begin to slow, leaving us with sagging skin and pockets of stubborn fat. If you are looking to improve the contours of your body, Fotona TightSculpting offers a unique solution.
Fotona TightSculpting is a non-surgical, non-invasive laser treatment that sculpts and tightens the skin. Treatments can be used on various areas of the body to destroy fat cells and restore collagen production.
How it works
Fotona TightSculpting treatments use a unique two-step laser system to reduce fat and tighten the skin.
Step 1: Nd:YAG PIANO Pulse Mode
The first step of Fotona TightSculpting treatments is designed to sculpt the body through fat reduction. This step uses the Fotona Nd:YAG PIANO Pulse Mode to penetrate deep into the skin in order to stimulate the metabolism of fat cells. By delivering bulk heating to unwanted fat cells, they are broken down and naturally removed from the body.
Step 2: Er:YAG SMOOTH Pulse Mode
The second step of Fotona TightSculpting treatments aims to improve skin laxity. The Er:YAG SMOOTH Pulse Mode further heats the skin’s deeper layers to contract collagen fibres for an instant tightening effect. Furthermore, this step works to stimulate collagen production, improving skin thickness and firmness over time.
What to expect
Prior to your treatment, we recommend having a consultation at Skin Confidence to discuss your aesthetic concerns and procedure expectations, after which we can create a treatment plan.
Fotona TightSculpting treatments take between 20 and 60 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the area being treated. As the laser moves over the treated area, you may experience a warming sensation, however this will dissipate shortly after treatment. Overall, treatments are generally described as being quite tolerable, meaning that no anaesthetic is required. After your Fotona TightSculpting treatment, you are immediately free to resume your regular activities.

Ideal candidates for Fotona TightSculpting
Fotona TightSculpting treatments are ideal for patients who have stubborn pockets of unwanted fat, moderate skin laxity and cellulite and are looking for a non-surgical solution. It is, however, important to keep in mind that TightSculpting is not a weight-loss solution. The best way to determine whether Fotona TightSculpting will be a suitable treatment for you is to have a consultation at our clinic.
Fotona TightSculpting results
While results will vary from patient to patient, many notice an immediate improvement in skin tightness. However, fat metabolism and collagen production occur over time, so it may take two to three months to see the full effects of your treatment. Once fat cells have been removed from the body, they will not return.
How many treatments will I need?
To achieve the best results, we usually recommend between three to five treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart. To maintain skin tightening results, or if additional weight is gained afterwards, we may suggest annual follow-up treatments.
Fotona TightSculpting recovery
There is absolutely no downtime required after a Fotona TightSculpting treatment, meaning that you are free to resume your daily activities. You may experience some redness, swelling or tenderness in the treated area: this is normal and should resolve within a few days. Following your Fotona TightSculpting treatment, you should avoid sun exposure. Diligent sun care is a must during this time, so we suggest applying an SPF 50+ to the treated area daily.
