At Skin Confidence Brisbane, we offer numerous treatments that can revitalise the skin, but none have as little downtime as a HydraFacial. This gentle, multi-step treatment is completely non-invasive and is suitable for all skin types. Combining deep cleansing, exfoliation and hydration, a HydraFacial treatment works to give the skin an instant glow.
Whether you wish to reset your skin after a seasonal change or want your skin to look its best for an event, a HydraFacial can ensure your skin looks picture-perfect.
What is a HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is an amazing technology that delivers the results of an advanced facial in under 30 minutes. This treatment is so much more than just another facial. It’s an experience. A pleasure. A feeling. And a confidence booster. It focuses on the unique philosophy of ‘Skin Health for Life’.
HydraFacial is about much more than just great looking, healthy skin. When our skin looks good and feels good, we feel good too. That’s the difference you get with this advanced facial technology.
HydraFacial uses advanced, patented vortex technology to cleanse the skin deeply and effectively deliver botanical ingredients containing nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, horse chestnut seed extract, red algae extract, copper, zinc and magnesium peptides to where they do the most good. In addition, this technology also delivers powerful antioxidants to counteract damage by free radicals – from pollution, sun and stress – which can degrade the skin and accelerate the ageing process.
Watch HydraFacial Work
It’s the unique serum delivery system that puts the HydraFacial into a category of its own. Watch the multi-step treatment cleanse, exfoliate and extract to get rid of impurities and dead skin cells while at the same time quenching skin with vital nutrients like antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid. The amazing results delivered by this treatment are both instant and long-lasting.
We believe that beautiful skin instils a deep confidence that amplifies inner beauty.
It is our mission to reveal the best skin of your life.
3 Steps. 30 Minutes
The Best Skin of Your Life!
How does HydraFacial work?
HydraFacial uses a three-step process to deep clean, exfoliate and hydrate the skin. Essentially, this treatment uses patented vortex technology by way of a spiral tip to deliver water-based exfoliation. The suction motion of the tips works to easily dislodge dead skin cells and other impurities, open the pores, and encourage the production of new cells. Simultaneously, skin-loving serums are delivered into the skin to give it much-needed nourishment. Depending on your individual skin needs, the HydraFacial device can be adjusted to deliver additional properties to the skin. As a result, HydraFacial can address a number of skin needs, including fine lines, poor skin tone and texture, brown spots, enlarged pores and oily, congested skin.
4 Steps to Amazing Skin
HydraFacial is an innovative, multi-stage treatment where every step of the process works together to achieve an even better result than what each step could achieve alone. To help you achieve your best skin yet, this advanced technology follows four easy steps:
1. Cleansing and exfoliation
Our skin cells are constantly dying and being replaced with fresh, new cells. In fact, the average skin cell survives for only 14 days before dying. While these dead skin cells do eventually shed on their own, exfoliation can quicken the process. To begin your treatment, your clinician will use a dermaplaning tool to open up the pores and sweep away the uppermost layer of dead skin cells and other debris.
2. Acid peel
An acid peel involves applying a chemical solution to the skin to remove the top layers and reveal the smoother skin underneath. During your treatment, a gentle nutrient-rich mix of glycolic and salicylic acid is applied to loosen the debris inside the pores and leave the skin feeling soft and refreshed.
3. Extractions
Extraction is the process of clearing a clogged pore, usually by manual means. During your HydraFacial, your clinician will use a vortex-extraction nozzle, which essentially acts as a vacuum to suck any gunk out of your pores.
4. Serum application
To complete your HydraFacial, your clinician will use a vortex-fusion tool to infuse antioxidant and collagen-rich serums into the skin to promote hydration and elasticity. Depending on your individual skin concerns, this step can be customised to diminish the appearance of fine lines, sun damage, uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation.
Benefits of a HydraFacial
As a superior alternative to your traditional spa facial, HydraFacial offers patients a number of benefits, including:

Ideal candidates for HydraFacial
HydraFacial treatments are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin types. As such, anyone who is looking to revitalise their skin for an instant glow could be an ideal candidate.
Exceptions to this may include patients with an active skin infection, sunburn, or rosacea. Ultimately, the best way to determine whether this treatment is for you is to have a consultation at our clinic.
What to expect
Prior to your treatment, we recommend having a consultation at Skin Confidence to discuss your skin concerns, after which we can create a treatment plan tailored to you.
On the day of your HydraFacial, all you need to do is lie down comfortably in our treatment room while your clinician does all the work. As the HydraFacial device is moved across the skin to vacuum, extract, and infuse, you may feel a gentle tugging sensation; however, nothing is pulled, poked, or irritated. While the treatment may not be quite as soothing as a traditional painful, HydraFacial’s are completely painless. In addition, you should not experience any excessive skin irritation or redness following treatment.
You can expect your HydraFacial to take around 30 minutes to complete. Following your treatment, you are free to resume all regular activities immediately.
HydraFacial results
Following your HydraFacial, you can expect immediate and visible improvements in skin tone and texture. The HydraFacial glow usually lasts for around a week, making it the perfect pre-event or vacation treatment. However, if you wish to reap the benefits in the long term, we recommend visiting Skin Confidence Brisbane for regular treatments.
How often should I have a HydraFacial treatment?
While a single HydraFacial treatment can give the skin instant radiance and glow, regular treatments are required to maintain this. To improve your skin’s health in the long term, we recommend visiting the clinic for monthly treatments.
Should I have hydradermabrasion or microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion and hydradermabrasion (HydraFacial) are both designed to exfoliate the skin; however, they do so using different techniques. During microdermabrasion, the superficial layers of skin are physically exfoliated away with abrasive tools, such as diamond or crystals. On the other hand, hydradermabrasion uses water to gently exfoliate and hydrate the skin. In addition to exfoliating, a HydraFacial also works to cleanse, extract, hydrate and infuse nourishing ingredients into the skin.
Should I have a HydraFacial or chemical peel?
Chemical peels are another popular treatment aimed at exfoliating the skin. During treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which works to remove the outermost layer of skin and reveal the fresh, healthy skin underneath. Chemical peels are suitable for most patients; however, they usually produce better results for patients with fair skin. If you are looking for a treatment that both exfoliates and nourishes, HydraFacial may be the ideal treatment for you.
Recovery and side effects
There is absolutely no downtime required after a HydraFacial treatment at Skin Confidence Brisbane, meaning that you are free to resume your everyday activities. You may experience some temporary redness and tightness following your treatment; however, serious side effects are extremely rare.
