Infini RF uses radiofrequency energy to rejuvenate and tighten the skin. The heat that’s generated by the device encourages the body to produce more collagen and elastin. It’s these proteins that support the skin and keep it healthy and youthful. The Infini RF system also incorporates microneedling to further enhance the skin’s natural response to micro-injuries.

Each session aims to smooth out fine lines and rejuvenate the skin from deep within to create a radiant, supple appearance. This is all without the need for downtime.

What to Expect

Prior to your Infini RF session, the treatment area is cleaned and a topical anaesthetic applied. This will require several minutes to take effect.

The Infini RF device is gently pressed against the skin to create the micro-injuries that will have the desired effect. At the same time that the micro-injuries are created, radiofrequency energy penetrates the deeper layers of the skin. The device can be set to different depths depending on what needs to be achieved.

The entire session takes about 45 minutes to complete. Patients who also want to treat the neck (which is highly recommended), require an additional 15 minutes.

Once complete, we will apply a cream to soothe the skin and provide you with the necessary aftercare instructions. The treated area should be cleaned twice a day using a mild cleanser. A high-quality moisturiser should also be applied to keep the skin soft and supple.

Mild swelling and redness can be expected to last for several days. After about 3 days, your usual skincare and makeup routine can be resumed. Sun exposure should be avoided for at least two weeks after treatment because the skin is so sensitive during this time. Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more should be worn daily. This will also help prevent future sun damage.

The number of treatments required will depend on the individual as well as the severity of their skin concerns. In most instances, at least 3 Infini RF sessions are required.

Ideal Candidates for Infini RF Treatments

Infini RF can be used to treat any skin tone but it’s particularly effective on olive and darker skin types. There is very little risk of the hyperpigmentation that’s common with traditional laser treatments. This is because energy is generated within the skin and not from the inside out.

Patients with pacemakers and those with metal in the face cannot be treated. It’s also best to avoid blood thinners before appointments as this leads to unnecessary bruising. Patients with severe sun damage may not be able to benefit from this treatment. We can determine whether you will benefit once your skin has been evaluated.

Infini RF Results

Directly after your treatment, you may see a noticeable difference in the tone and texture of your skin. The results of your very first treatment will be visible 8 weeks after your session.
The final results of your treatment plan will gradually develop over the course of several months.

Once collagen shrinkage has occurred, the tightening process will begin. This is all a part of the reparative and remodelling process the skin undergoes. At around the 6-month mark, you will see the final outcome of your sessions.

Infini RF results can last for several years but your skin will still react to the natural ageing process and external factors. Annual follow-up sessions are required to maintain your results. A combination of procedures may also be required later on depending on how your skin changes.
